| Carol A. Nacy, Ph.D. will give a special closing plenary lecture related to career decision strategies in the biotech era to help job seekers determine what career pathway--industry versus academe--they might want to pursue. Dr. Nacy, CEO and chairman of the board of Sequella, Inc., has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of microbiology, immunology, and infectious diseases. She holds patents for identification of infection by flow cytometry and compositions and methods for treating cancer and hyperproliferative disorders. She has been chief scientific officer of Anergen, chief scientific officer and executive vice president of EntreMed, and drug development consultant to Oncogene Sciences, among other positions. She has taught at Howard University, Catholic University, and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. | |
